Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to help you take control when it counts.

When a crisis hits, clarity matters. This page answers the questions we’re most often asked by leadership teams considering our support. If you need fast, focused input or a confidential conversation about your situation, we’re ready to speak.

No jargon. No pressure. Just straight answers to help you take the next step with confidence.

What exactly does Arx Nova do?

We stabilise businesses in crisis. Whether it’s a financial collapse, a legal exposure, an operational breakdown or a reputational disaster, we deploy an integrated team to take control, stop the bleeding and lay the groundwork for recovery. We specialise in mid-tier businesses with turnover between £1 million and £100 million and act as a cross-functional emergency response unit.

Immediately. The earlier we’re involved, the more options you have and the greater the chance of containing the damage. Even if you’re not sure it’s a full-blown crisis yet, if something feels wrong, it’s worth a conversation.

We handle financial, operational, legal and PR crises. Most often, they happen all at once. That might mean a sudden cashflow collapse, executive scandal, cyber breach, media firestorm or regulatory threat. If it’s destabilising your business, we can help.

We guarantee on-site deployment within 24 hours of engagement. Arx Nova was built around rapid response. It’s core to our promise.

No. We work on issues that are complex, sensitive or high-risk, not just headline events. That includes leadership exits, internal investigations, financial pressures, reputational threats, and regulatory exposure. If it feels too important to get wrong, it’s worth a conversation.

No. We are a senior-only crisis management team that leads across legal, operational, financial and reputational issues. We are not advisors working in isolation. We take ownership of the full picture and operate as part of your leadership response team.

No. You stay in control. We work alongside your leadership team, providing clear direction, tough decisions and calm under pressure. Our role is to stabilise and support, not to replace.

No. We work alongside your internal teams to bring structure, speed and clarity. Most of our clients have strong people in place, but what they need is immediate leadership, alignment and external perspective in a high-pressure situation. We bring that stabilising force without displacing your internal capability.

Our core model runs over 4 to 6 weeks. It begins with a focused assessment phase lasting around a week, where we meet key stakeholders, diagnose the situation and start forming the stabilisation plan. That plan is presented at the start of the following week, and implementation begins immediately.

We offer short-term stabilisation and growth support where needed, but we don’t embed long-term. Our role is to stop the bleeding, stabilise the business and create space for recovery.

If longer-term turnaround or transformation is required beyond our scope, we work with trusted strategic partners to ensure a smooth, unified handover. No drama, no disjointed handoffs. Just clarity, continuity and momentum.

Because they’re usually siloed. A lawyer looks at legal risk. An accountant looks at the books. A PR firm handles the press. We do all three and more together. Our cross-disciplinary approach means faster, aligned decision-making when time and reputation are at stake.

We’re sector-agnostic. Crises don’t discriminate, and our methodology works across professional services, finance, construction, manufacturing and more. What matters is the size, complexity and urgency of the problem, not the sector.

Always. Every engagement is handled with complete discretion. We understand the sensitivity of crisis situations and treat all information with the highest level of care and confidentiality. We are happy to operate under a Non-Disclosure Agreement from the outset, and in many cases, we do so as standard.

If you would prefer to have an NDA in place before speaking in detail, that is never a problem.

Yes. Messaging to staff, regulators, customers or the media is part of the stabilisation process. We handle internal and external communications to control the narrative and maintain stakeholder trust.

Yes. We can lead or support direct engagement with regulators, investors, lenders, and other key stakeholders. Our goal is to protect trust, reduce friction and help you communicate clearly in moments where every word counts.

Book a free 45-minute crisis assessment. We’ll get a rapid read on the situation and let you know how we can help. No obligation. Just practical, calm, senior-level advice when you need it most.

Costs vary depending on the complexity and duration of the crisis. A short-term stabilisation project differs from a full-scale turnaround. We’ll always give you a clear scope and transparent pricing before we start. Think of it as insurance. The cost of not acting usually ends up far higher.
