Thomas Pucheu

Thomas is a Strategic Partner to Arx Nova and an accomplished executive with over 20 years of experience in finance, commercial strategy, and business development across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. A graduate in Economics and Political Science in France, he began his career with Fortis Finance and later KPMG and Deloitte, managing financial audits, corporate advisory, and strategic consulting projects for multinational clients.

Over the last 15 years, Thomas has specialised in complex, high‑value projects in the mining, natural resources, and energy sectors across Francophone Africa. He has served in country and regional leadership roles for companies including AngloGold Ashanti and Armada Metals, where he oversaw finance, compliance, permitting, and commercial operations in multi‑jurisdictional environments.

Thomas is recognised for his strategic problem solving and cross‑cultural leadership, successfully managing stakeholder relations with governments, regulators, and international investors. He has held board and advisory mandates with the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), the Gabonese Business Chamber (CPG/FEG), and was the founder and president of UMIGA, Gabon’s specialist mining association, advocating for fiscal reform and industry development.
